This recent painting of a sweet bee is part of my
' wildflower meadows ' series of watercolour painting. 
Each year ( typically may onwards) I enjoy doing a collection of pieces with an emphasis on our wonderful british flora & fauna, also wildflowers and meadows.
I hope you like this one, bees are a subject matter that I keep coming back to because they're a joy to paint and equally joyous to observe, I love to grow nectar rich plants in my garden for them and I enjoy observing them from my home studio, fascinating little lovelies they are.
