I'm lucky to have a beautiful big forest on my doorstep, the perfect environment for keeping cool in the hot weather, also great art inspiration, hence I do spend a lot of time there, I just love the natural atmosphere and all the flora & fauna.
Goldcrest birds have always been a favourite fascination of mine, I just adore their liveliness, and that cheeky mohawk punky hairstyle just makes me smile :) 
This is the fourth painting from my ' Forest friends collection ' and is inspired by all of the above, I also wanted to give an air of energy to this painting, a nod to these ever active little forest dwelling birds.
